St Michael's Church, Malton was the venue for an evening of glorious songs and music on Saturday July 9th. There was a wonderful variety of music ranging from Mozart to songs from the West End shows and the audience was enchanted by their performance. Drinks and delicious nibbles completed an excellent evening's entertainment. Thank you to SBS for helping to raise £650 towards St Michael's Church. This was their first performance in St Michael's and we very much hope they will return soon.

Just wanted to thank you all for the most beautiful and memorable service at Easingwold on Palm Sunday. It was the perfect beginning to Holy Week. How lovely to hear Billy singing Pie Jesu by Faure - so moving. The wonderful old church and glorious Spring weather - it couldn't have been any better.

We have loved joining the Stamford Bridge Singers, as not only is it fun being part of such a friendly community, but it gives us something else to help take our minds off work!

A big thankyou to the Stamford Bridge Singers for leading our Service of Advent Carols and Readings at St Mary's Priory Church, Old Malton on Sunday 5th December. The singing was superb, reflective in the parts where this was required and wonderfully joyous and uplifting in others. The excellent singing together with the Advent readings, the Great Advent Antiphons and the symbolism of the lighting of Advent wreaths made this a wonder-ful service. I spoke to all the church leaders from "Churches Together in Southern Ryedale" who took part in the service and they were unanimous in their praise of SBS and the worship which they had been able to share in. Many thanks again, not just for the singing but for actually getting yourselves to Old Malton in the difficult weather conditions. I wish you every success with your next seasonal concert which I understand is at St Chad's Church, York and is a concert of Carols and Readings for Christmas entitled "Born is the Light of the World".
